Pure Black Andalusian Broodmare (PRE)

Tango is a wonderful combination of Bocado and Escalera/Military bloodlines. She is pure Bocado on her sire line through her famous sire Genio III. She is pure Escalera/Military on her dam line, descended from Agente though her grandfather, Lebrijano III, and five generations of Escalera mares. Tango is registered with the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association (IALHA) as a pure Spanish Andalusian (S). Tango has been approved for breeding by the Cria Caballar. She is entered in the Spanish Stud Book as a Pura Raza Espanola (PRE) under the name of Tango XVIII.

Tango is very kind and people-oriented, always the first to greet visitors to the pasture. She is an excellent broodmare and an accomplished trail horse. In the field, Tango is an equine “all terrain vehicle” that will safely take her rider just about anywhere.

Tango is round and baroque, with a long elegant neck. She is just under 15.3h, pure black, with no white markings. Tango has straight, dressage-style movement.

Tango has been bred to the imported black stallion, Axis for a 2005 baby. This black foal will represent a very rare linebreeding to Lebrijano III, a bloodline almost impossible to find in North America. This 2005 Axis x Tango foal will be eligible for inscription in the Spanish stud book as a PRE.

Sonadora is a beautiful black daughter of the famous Military stallion, Lebrijano III and the bay Escalera mare, Estudiata VIII. She is a granddaughter of Agente and great granddaughter of Maluso.

Tango’s Sire:

Genio III

The legendary, blue-black, pure Spanish, Genio III is Tango’s sire. He is the 16.3h sire of multiple pure and part-bred IALHA National Champions. He is an approved breeding stallion for the Spanish Cria Caballar, the American Oldenburger Stud Book, the American Warmblood Society, the Spanish Norman Registery and the Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar. Genio is primarily of Bocado bloodlines and is a double grandson of Jardinero V.
