Maluso (US)
BUFFALO HORSE. Named for the legendary Spanish stallion, Maluso (US) was bred by the famous Garrison Ranch in California. Maluso’s first owner was commercially raising buffalo on his ranch in Utah. Knowing of the Andalusian’s agility and long history of working with the brave bulls in Spain, he purchased Maluso from the Garrisons. He used Maluso as a foundation sire to produce “Buffalo Horses” who were brave, quick and agile enough to efficiently and safely work the wild buffalo.
DRESSAGE
HORSE. After
several years successfully performing as a buffalo horse, Maluso moved on to his
current owner, Snowy Peaks Ranch and a second carrier as a competitive dressage
performer.
HALTER
CHAMPION. Maluso
was the 2000 IALHA National Reserve Champion Senior Stallion.
He is 16.1h and, like his more famous namesake, a beautiful bay color.
Maluso’s breeding is dominantly Bocado. His sire line consists of an unbroken string of prestigious American and Spanish champions: Castiblanco III, Leopardo II, Legionario III, Campanero XI, Garron III, Descarado II. Maluso also has a drop of Military blood from the mare Farisa III, from her dam, Zeolita, and from Castiblanco II, who was a grandson of the original Spanish Maluso.
Maluso stands at stud at Snowy Peaks Ranch in Utah. For further information go to www.snowypeaksranch.com.
